TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

Welcome to the Crown Findings Co., Inc. Website!  

The terms and conditions of use apply to all of the products and services of Crown Findings Co., Inc. (“Crown Findings”). Any use of this Website is subject to the notices, terms and conditions of use set forth in this Agreement, which may be changed from time to time without notice. Browsing or otherwise using the site indicates your agreement to all of the terms and conditions of use as currently written or as changed from time to time. Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully before continuing.

The Crown Findings Website is dedicated to members of the jewelry trade only. In order to place orders through the Website, all customers require a valid state issued Resale Certificate Number.

 

Terms

• After completing a Resale Certificate, all accounts are automatically considered COD (Cash on Delivery) unless a credit application is timely submitted and approved.
• New accounts with a rating of 1 or 2 from the Jewelers Board of Trade (JBT) may receive an initial order of up to $500.00 in value on an open account basis. Subsequent orders will require receipt and acceptance of a formal credit application.
• Terms are Net 30 Days.

 

Variations

In creating our Website, we have tried to provide our customers with images and information about our products for convenience. To enhance the detail of our jewelry products, we use both matte and shiny finishes. We hope the images displayed represent the color, design and detail of the actual items. However, there may be slight variations or distortions due to technical issues caused by browser or computer settings. Crown Findings will not be responsible and cannot be held liable for these variations or distortions.

When placing an online order, your account status will allow for two payment gateways to appear: either (1) credit card or (2) signature. Your account status will determine your payment method.

• All credit card payments will be charged as “authorization only” transactions. The authorized amount may increase or decrease based on factors such as the gold market price fluctuations, item weight, available quantity and shipping charges, if applicable. The credit card will be charged the final amount due after the order is reviewed and final pricing determined. You will receive an email confirmation with the new totals and receipt of payment.
• Net 30 Day Accounts agree that the credit card on file will be charged in full for the total amount due.
• A signature is required for all Net 30 Day transactions, including counter sales and in-store pickup orders.

 

Pricing

Our products are priced based on the London afternoon fix value for precious metals.  Prices are nonnegotiable and sales cannot be extended once they have ended. All prices are subject to change without notice. Items in your shopping cart will show the most recent price displayed for your item. This price may differ from the price shown for the item when you first placed it in your cart. Placing an item in your cart does not reserve the price shown when the item was first placed there.

Information, including prices, might be inaccurately displayed on the Website due to a system error or typographical errors. We make every effort to avoid such errors, but if they do occur, we reserve the right to correct them. Erroneous prices cannot be honored.  You will be notified in the event of such an error relating to your order.

Use of the Website

All of the images, photographs, illustrations, texts, video, clips, music, software and all written and other materials on the Website (the “Crown Findings Content”) are, unless otherwise indicated, protected by laws, including copyright, design, patent and trademark laws and under all applicable international treaty provisions and applicable national laws worldwide.

Any commercial use of the Website is strictly prohibited. You may not sell, reproduce, distribute, lease, translate, communicate, modify, reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile, display, publicly perform, report or otherwise prepare derivative or second hand works based on or use any Crown Findings Content in any way for any public or commercial purposes.  We reserve the right, without notice to you, to refuse service, terminate accounts, and/or cancel orders at our discretion if we believe that customer conduct violates applicable law or hurts our business. You agree that Crown Findings will not be liable to you or any third party as a result of such refusal, termination or cancelation.  This provision will survive termination of these terms and conditions of use.

The Crown Findings Website may be accessed from countries outside the United States, but may contain products and services that are not available worldwide.

 

Trademarks and Copyrights

All trademarks, logos, slogans and service marks that appear on the Website are registered, unregistered or otherwise protected marks of Crown Findings or are licensed for use by Crown Findings by third parties. You are not authorized to use any mark without the express consent of Crown Findings in writing. During the registration process on our Website, we keep the information provided by all of our customers, including your name, email address, your contact information (such as address and phone number), and financial information (such as credit card information and expiration date, JBT rating and the number associated with your Resale Certificate) as well as information about the products and services on our Website in which you are interested. We may ask you about yourself, but you are not required to provide us with your age if you prefer not to. The information collected is for billing purposes and to fill your order. If we have any questions about your order, we may use this information to contact you.

 

Security

The security of your personally identifiable information is important to us both online and offline. Crown Findings uses encryption technology to protect your sensitive information. Crown Findings uses Wordfence Security which provides an anti-virus, firewall and malware scan protection. Wordfence Security runs at the endpoint, namely the server, which is claimed to provide better protection than icloud alternatives.

When our registration/order form asks you to enter sensitive information such as a credit card number, that information is encrypted and is protected with the industry standard encryption software. While on a secure page, such as our order form, a lock icon will appear in the search bar on the top left corner of your web browser. When you are not on a secure page, no lock icon will appear.

When we collect sensitive information such as credit card data, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon located in the search bar on the top left corner of your web browser, or by looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.

In addition, the servers which store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment under restricted access.

All information of a sensitive nature is stored on computers and servers contained in a secure location. The information is accessed by employees only on a need to know basis in order to perform a specific task related to your inquiry or order, such as customer service or billing.

You are free to opt out of any future contact from us at any time by contacting us via the email address on our Website.

 

Data Collection

As with most websites, Crown Findings tracks and collects information throughout the site. The information collected includes IP (internet protocol) addresses, browser type, ISP (internet service provider), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and # of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate. Please note that the information is not recorded at an individual customer level. The purpose of collecting this information is to better understand how visitors use our Website and to compile statistics about which products best serve their needs.
